Importance of Equipotential Bonding in Lightning Protection 

Equipotential bonding is a critical component of an effective lightning protection system. It involves electrically connecting metallic structures, conductive parts, and other relevant metal components to maintain them at substantially the same electrical potential during a lightning event.

By minimising dangerous potential differences between conductive parts, equipotential bonding helps control the flow of lightning currents and reduces the risk of side flashing and arcing.
